In the anniversary year of the University of Tartu Pärnu College, we will bring four disputations to the public. These draw on the tradition of academic debate while addressing contemporary issues.
On 27 October from 13–18, the University of Tartu development conference “A university for us, Estonia and the world” took place in the university assembly hall and online. Keynote speakers were Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Kersti Kaljulaid and Kristina Kallas.
In July, the University of Tartu Pärnu College hosted an interdisciplinary seminar that brought together marine biology and tourism researchers from New Zealand and Estonia. While these fields may seem very different at first glance, they share a strong and increasingly important link – both directly influence the health and sustainable use of seas and coastal areas.
The parking in front of the college is for a fee, but college visitors can park there for free if they enter their car registration plate number on the screen in the lobby when entering the building.
The Digital Cleanup Week takes place at the university this week and all members of the university are invited to declutter their personal or their unit’s digital life to move in small but effective steps towards a greener university.
