At the Estonian Best Enterprises Awards Gala on 1 November, the innovation centre Kobar – established by the Pärnumaa Development Centre and the University of Tartu Pärnu College – was presented with the Entrepreneurship Promotion Award.
On 27 October from 13–18, the University of Tartu development conference “A university for us, Estonia and the world” took place in the university assembly hall and online. Keynote speakers were Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Kersti Kaljulaid and Kristina Kallas.
In the competition for entrepreneurship promoters 2025, organised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the Kobar innovation hub and the technology school // kood were named Estonia’s best entrepreneurship promoters. They will represent Estonia in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards competition in Copenhagen in October.
The Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Maive Rute will visit the University of Tartu.
Paula Rama da Silva, a lecturer at the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies, is coming to UT Pärnu College to talk about the mobility exchange opportunities and tourism scenarios.
Among other things, the success of the college is based on international research and development, which is also reflected in the vision and mission of the college.
As a successor to the Tourism Competence Centre the college Research Centre integrates into a whole all relevant competences in the field – tourism, social work, entrepreneurship, service design.
