The international quality assessment evaluation resulted in a positive outcome

The international quality assessment evaluation resulted in a positive outcome for the Tourism and Hotel Management programme at the University of Tartu Pärnu College. The International Evaluation Commission and the Council of the Estonian Higher Education Quality Agency confirmed that the study programme and management comply with national and international standards. Continuous programme development activities for lecturers, students, alumni, and employers were highlighted as an advantage of the programme. Having a clear niche, balanced theory and practice were also considered as general strengths. Current activities for improving the quality of studies and goals for international expansion were recognised. A more thorough study of students’ career expectations was recommended. The next quality assessment of the programme will take place in 7 years. The tourism department is grateful to all the companies, organisations, lecturers, students, support staff, and partners who have helped to develop, support and run the Tourism and Hotel Management programme.
